Meet Remco. As a trainer, Remco is passionate about working with groups, creating a safe environment to hold a mirror up to individuals in the group. His approach always starts with careful preparation, laying a strong foundation for each session. Through interactive exercises, he initiates a dialogue that brings the dynamics of the group directly to the fore. Remco’s preference is for teamwork, believing in the power of collective thinking over individual coaching. With a background as a teacher in HBO and mentor coach, he is very aware of the diversity in behavioural styles and their impact. His approach is direct but safe, and he enjoys helping teams grow.

The inspiring part of Remco’s work comes from untangling stalled teams, where individuals talk about rather than with each other. In just half a day, he sees teams transformed through improved communication. As a team coach of (investigative) officials, he understands the complexities of government institutions, which enables him to add value to different contexts, from policy to street level. As a business manager, he has learned that personal contact and showing leadership are essential for team development. His approach focuses on creating a shared vision and encouraging a culture of ‘we’. Remco’s favourite challenges are those where he can use his creativity, such as linking wine making to DISC theory in an interactive workshop that promotes team development. With a preference for small groups, he can give each participant the attention they deserve, making each training session effective and valuable.
