The DISC model gives you insight into observable behaviour. It indicates how you act or come across, not who you are. This is measured using 4 different behavioural styles: dominance, influence, stability and conformism. Based on the DISC scores, you are plotted into the team wheel. This includes only those behavioural styles that rise above the midline (>50%).
Initiator: Is alert to unnecessary costs.
Leader: Goes 100% to achieve goals.
Motivator: Responds assertively to challenges.
Promoter: Knows how to convince and enthuse colleagues easily.
Connector: Offers a listening ear.
Supporter: Is modest about own work.
Coordinator: Has good self-discipline.
Analyst: Can approach situations both rationally and intuitively.
Both the basic style and the response style are plotted in the team wheel. The basic style indicates your unconscious behaviour. The behaviour you don’t consciously think about. This is the behaviour you show when you are yourself: when you are relaxed, but also when you are under pressure.
The response style indicates the behaviour you think is desirable, for example in the workplace, also called the conscious behaviour.
In the report, you will find explanations of the 8 different DISC team roles. The aim is to gain insight into the qualities and pitfalls together, both individually and as a team. You will also gain insight into the team’s distribution of the various DISC styles and team roles. The team report is an interactive workbook you can use with the team. In it, you will find various templates and an action plan, for example.
